The rest of the league will want that one back. Brashard Smith tumbling to the 49ers in Round 7, Pick 14 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

They will need Hinton to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through wide receiver. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.

Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
