Darnell88 DRAFTING FOR THEBrowns
Draft Grade — Browns
Overall

ValueB-

FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Browns: B-. There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Browns started one anyway for Jaxson Dart, 75 picks ahead of schedule. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.
The Helm value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
Job largely done: quarterback settled and 4 of 9 of the wish list covered. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick Analysis
Pick2
Rnd1
Kelvin Banks Jr.
In pick No. 2 they get a blindside protector. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick33
Rnd2
Omarion Hampton
Omarion Hampton slid further than he should have, and No. 33 is lovely value for the running back. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick67
Rnd3
Jaxson Dart
A big swing on Jaxson Dart at Round 3, Pick 3, well ahead of any board in the building. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick93
Rnd3
Gunnar Helm
Steal is underselling it; Gunnar Helm at the 93rd pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
