Alliegro should have been long gone. The Chiefs pounced, and earned a B+.

Call it larceny. Christian Alliegro sat on the board until Round 7, Pick 36, and the Chiefs did not need to be asked twice. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.

Reaching for Thomas left real value on the table behind him. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
