Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Vikings spent the Round 7 slot on Solomon Tuliaupupu, a name most had 80 spots down the list. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. Spending an early pick on linebacker with interior defensive lineman open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

The Bernard pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.
