Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall B
ValueB- NeedA- TradesA- FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Cardinals: B.

The Cardinals put a flag in the ground for Jalon Daniels, 96 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit.

Boston falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The running back hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.

Pick Analysis
Pick12 Rnd1 Kadyn Proctor
In the Round 1 slot they get a blindside protector, outstanding value to boot. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick44 Rnd2 Denzel Boston
Steal is underselling it; Denzel Boston at Round 2, Pick 12 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick74 Rnd3 Cayden Green
A premium they did not need to pay, Cayden Green a notch or two before his time. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick109 Rnd4 Tim Keenan III
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Tim Keenan III well ahead of where he belonged. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick110 Rnd4 Jalon Daniels
Jalon Daniels at pick 110 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick151 Rnd5 Kalil Alexander
Kalil Alexander at the 151st pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick194 Rnd6 J. Michael Sturdivant
They left a pile of value on the table to take J. Michael Sturdivant this early at No. 194. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick228 Rnd7 Roderick Kearney
Good price on Roderick Kearney in the Round 7 slot, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick229 Rnd7 Luke Hasz
Value said wait; Luke Hasz in pick 229 says they were not listening. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
