The Chargers did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-.

You can draft well and still miss the point. The Chargers did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to edge rusher, which was the need that mattered most. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

Pregnon at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They are betting Black proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

Job largely done: cornerback settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
