The Giants fleeced the room on the phones and earned a A-. Somebody in the 226th pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Giants sat still while Ro Torrence, the No. 177 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.
Reaching for Chambers left real value on the table behind him. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.
They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
It is a haul that will look even better come September.
