The Dolphins bet big and early on Eric Gentry, 129 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B+.

The McNeil-Warren value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.

It is not that Wheatley is a bad player; it is that the Dolphins had louder needs to answer first. That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
