The Dolphins went off the board in a big way for Riley Mahlman, 43 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B+.

Hill Jr. falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. The Clark pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher and running back still on the board.

On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with quarterback the one that mattered most.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
