Nobody else had Riley Mahlman anywhere near slot 251. The Dolphins did, by 44 spots, and that gap is the whole story.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They will answer for taking cornerback early while edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots went begging. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Landing Scott that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

Bottom line, they left the weekend a clearly better team, and they earned every bit of it.
