Draft Grade — Dolphins
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB- TradesB- FutureB-
The Dolphins cashed the board's mistake on Trapilo: B-.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Ozzy Trapilo tumbling to the Dolphins in the Round 4 slot is a gift they did not have to think twice about. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it. A fair-value weekend of trading, no edge to be found.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick13 Rnd1 Armand Membou
A straight-up fair deal on Armand Membou at the 13th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick48 Rnd2 Xavier Watts
They did well to land Xavier Watts in slot 48, just ahead of his grade. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick101 Rnd3 Cam Skattebo
No drama and no debate, Cam Skattebo went about where he belonged in No. 101. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick116 Rnd4 Ozzy Trapilo
Ozzy Trapilo at Round 4, Pick 14 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick135 Rnd4 Cobee Bryant
Cobee Bryant at pick No. 135 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick150 Rnd5 Tyler Shough
Tyler Shough in the Round 5 slot is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick155 Rnd5 Malachi Moore
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Malachi Moore in pick 155. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
Pick224 Rnd7 Carson Vinson
Carson Vinson in the 224th pick is fair value, right on his grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick231 Rnd7 Cam Jackson
Cam Jackson at No. 231 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick253 Rnd7 Jabbar Muhammad
Jabbar Muhammad slipping to the 253rd pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
