When the story of this class is written, it opens with Riley Mahlman at pick 227, a reach of 68 spots that the board flatly disagrees with.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Scott. Spending an early pick on cornerback with edge rusher, running back and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

The verdict is a shrug for now, with the swing picks left to write the real ending.
