You can hear the double-takes from here. The Dolphins took Micah Morris at Round 7, Pick 36, roughly 74 spots before his name belonged.

Getting Wheatley where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The Davis pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher still on the board.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

So much rides on Emmanuel Pregnon that the real verdict is a season or two away.
