The Dolphins cashed the board's mistake on Stowers: B+. You could see the war room lean forward. Eli Stowers at Round 3, Pick 23 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. It nets out to a B+, which feels about right.
With edge rusher and linebacker unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. If Singleton pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
