Thirty-one other rooms let Jake Golday slide, and the Dolphins were the ones holding the card at the 84th pick. Highway robbery. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.

The Hallman reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Spending an early pick on cornerback with running back and linebacker open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The veteran additions, Tyler Guyton chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
