Draft Grade — Broncos
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Broncos let Daniels fall and pounced. Final grade: B-.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Jalon Daniels tumbling to the Broncos in slot 254 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. Linebacker is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 KC Concepcion
KC Concepcion in the 30th pick is fair value, right on his grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick62 Rnd2 Josiah Trotter
A reasonable price with a little left over, Josiah Trotter in Round 2, Pick 30. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick94 Rnd3 Darrell Jackson Jr.
A market-rate interior defensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Darrell Jackson Jr.. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick120 Rnd4 Jack Endries
They read the board right and Jack Endries was the payoff at the Round 4 slot. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick130 Rnd4 Dametrious Crownover
Dametrious Crownover at No. 130 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick158 Rnd5 Kevin Coleman Jr.
Kevin Coleman Jr. at slot 158 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick168 Rnd5 Albert Regis
Fair-plus on Albert Regis, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick246 Rnd7 Robert Henry Jr.
Robert Henry Jr. at pick No. 246 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It fills a real need, too.
Pick251 Rnd7 Trey Zuhn III
A clean, defensible pick in No. 251 with a little surplus value in Trey Zuhn III. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick254 Rnd7 Jalon Daniels
Jalon Daniels in slot 254 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick255 Rnd7 Alan Herron
Alan Herron at the 255th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
