The Commanders drew a line under the quarterback search with Williams: D-.

The rest of the league had time to spare on Ben Sinnott; the Commanders did not wait, grabbing him 31 spots ahead at Round 4, Pick 12. Too much went sideways, and the D- is the honest tally.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. Caleb Williams is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, running back very much included.
