YESGUY40 DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks

FutureB
The Seahawks checked most of the boxes and earned a B. You can usually follow a front office's logic. This one is harder. The Seahawks spent slot 137 on Malachi Moore while edge rusher and interior defensive lineman sat unaddressed. No fireworks, but a solid B.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Campbell. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. If Jackson pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick18
Rnd1
Tyler Warren
In the 18th pick they get a matchup weapon at tight end. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick50
Rnd2
Jihaad Campbell
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Jihaad Campbell at pick 50. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick52
Rnd2
Donovan Jackson
They liked Donovan Jackson enough to skip the value, taking him in pick No. 52. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick82
Rnd3
Andrew Mukuba
Andrew Mukuba at slot 82 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick92
Rnd3
Will Howard
Will Howard at the 92nd overall pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick137
Rnd4
Malachi Moore
Hard to square with the roster. With positions of obvious need still on the board, Malachi Moore adds a safety and leaves edge rusher and interior defensive lineman untouched.
Pick172
Rnd5
Seth McLaughlin
No edge and no loss on Seth McLaughlin in No. 172; it is a wash and a sensible one. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick175
Rnd5
Kalel Mullings
Kalel Mullings slid further than he should have, and the 175th pick is lovely value for the running back. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick234
Rnd7
Kobe Hudson
A quiet steal in Round 7, Pick 18: Kobe Hudson for less than the market said. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
