The Commanders did not so much draft Nadame Tucker as overpay for him, 30 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend.

Lane at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
