The Patriots won the night they stopped Strong from sliding. Grade: B+.

The trade table was a mismatch, and the Patriots were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.

The Strong steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The Patriots clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 7 of 8 of the wish list covered.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
