The Bears answered their biggest question with Daniels. Grade: D-.

The AJ Barner selection is the head-turner. The Bears reached 50 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. The process wobbled, and the D- is where it lands.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. They have staked the next five years on Jayden Daniels, which is the only story that really matters here. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.

The Solomon pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
