The Bears found their guy under center in Daniels: D.

The Bears did not so much draft AJ Barner as overpay for him, 60 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Jayden Daniels gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits.

With interior defensive lineman unsolved, spending premium capital on DT-EDGE is the choice that costs them. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
