Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Bears, and the value they bled adds up to real damage.

They have staked the next five years on Caleb Williams, which is the only story that really matters here. Reaching for Johnson left real value on the table behind him.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The Tampa pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
