The Bears let Jones fall and pounced. Final grade: D.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Bears shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. The math is unkind, and the D follows.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. The Robinson pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. Jones at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and interior defensive lineman is still a hole.
