The Commanders fleeced the room on the phones and earned a B+.

The Commanders bet big and early on Devin Leary, 71 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Justin Fields pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.
