The Bears lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. A D- that will need time and luck to look better.

They have staked the next five years on Caleb Williams, which is the only story that really matters here. With edge rusher, running back and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on DT-EDGE is the choice that costs them. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The Frazier reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Hicks.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
