Williams is the plan now, and the Bears grade out a D-.

Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Bears, and the value they bled adds up to real damage.

Caleb Williams gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it. They are betting Zinter proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

However the rest shakes out, Bishop at that price is a win they earned.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, running back very much included.

Pick9 Rnd1 Rome Odunze
In pick 9 they get a go-to option on the outside at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick43 Rnd2 Chop Robinson
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Chop Robinson at Round 2, Pick 11 is the proof. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick75 Rnd3 Zak Zinter
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Zak Zinter. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.

They paid sticker price for Leonard Taylor III in slot 111, and that is fine. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick123 Rnd4 Max Melton
Max Melton slid further than he should have, and the 123rd overall pick is lovely value for the cornerback. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.

They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Cole Bishop in the 143rd pick. A minor need, but a need all the same.
