Nobody dealt better than the Bills this weekend: B+. Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Bills came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.
The linebacker spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They banked enough surplus on Jones to cover a lot of smaller sins. Reaching for Bullock left real value on the table behind him.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but linebacker.
Pick Analysis
Pick34
Rnd2
Xavier Legette
They took Xavier Legette at par in the Round 2 slot, which is nothing to complain about. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick60
Rnd2
Braden Fiske
A straight-up fair deal on Braden Fiske at Round 2, Pick 28, value and slot in agreement. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick68
Rnd3
Calen Bullock
Calen Bullock at pick 68 is a conviction pick that outran the value. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick128
Rnd4
Elijah Jones
A slide stopped in the 128th pick, with Elijah Jones worth more than the price. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick134
Rnd4
Luke McCaffrey
A premium they did not need to pay, Luke McCaffrey a notch or two before his time. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
