timchiro DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall

FutureB-
The Seahawks cashed the board's mistake on Wilson: B. Somebody in Round 6, Pick 19 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Seahawks sat still while Roman Wilson, the No. 83 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. No fireworks, but a solid B.
A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick Analysis
Pick16
Rnd1
Dallas Turner
In pick No. 16 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick78
Rnd3
Nate Wiggins
Nate Wiggins at slot 78 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick81
Rnd3
Payton Wilson
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Payton Wilson at pick 81 is the proof. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick118
Rnd4
Ja'Lynn Polk
Ja'Lynn Polk in the 118th pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick154
Rnd5
Javon Foster
A offensive lineman of that caliber at the Round 5 slot is the definition of value, full stop. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick194
Rnd6
Roman Wilson
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Roman Wilson in the 194th overall pick, plain and simple. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick236
Rnd7
Jared Wiley
You do not let a tight end like Jared Wiley reach Round 7, Pick 16 and blink. They did not. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
