Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B
ValueB NeedB TradesB FutureB-
Larceny in slot 84 lands the Packers a B, Slaughter and all.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Packers watched Jake Slaughter slide 35 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Thomas pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with cornerback the one that mattered most.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Pick Analysis
Pick53 Rnd2 Colton Hood
They will replay Colton Hood at slot 53 for years; that is how good the value is. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick84 Rnd3 Jake Slaughter
Jake Slaughter at the Round 3 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick100 Rnd3 Nicholas Singleton
Nicholas Singleton is a better player than pick 100 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick120 Rnd4 Keylan Rutledge
Keylan Rutledge in pick No. 120 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick158 Rnd5 Albert Regis
Good price on Albert Regis in No. 158, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick199 Rnd6 Trey Zuhn III
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Trey Zuhn III. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick236 Rnd7 Jordan Hall
They liked Jordan Hall enough to skip the value, taking him in the 236th pick. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick254 Rnd7 Fred Davis II
Fred Davis II at Round 7, Pick 38 is a conviction pick that outran the value. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick257 Rnd7 Noah Thomas
They paid a round early for Noah Thomas in slot 257, more than the board wanted. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
