Draft Grade — Seahawks

FutureB
No fireworks, just a tidy B+ for the Seahawks. Every other box got a look, but quarterback did not. The Seahawks will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with.
The Pritchett value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The Morgan pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick Analysis
Pick18
Rnd1
Jordan Morgan
In the Round 1 slot they get a blindside protector, though they paid up to get him. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick78
Rnd3
Christian Mahogany
No drama and no debate, Christian Mahogany went about where he belonged in No. 78. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick81
Rnd3
Roman Wilson
No edge and no loss on Roman Wilson in pick 81; it is a wash and a sensible one. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick119
Rnd4
Justin Eboigbe
Justin Eboigbe in slot 119 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick151
Rnd5
Nehemiah Pritchett
Nehemiah Pritchett slipping to Round 5, Pick 15 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick194
Rnd6
Emani Bailey
Emani Bailey at pick No. 194 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick233
Rnd7
Nathaniel Watson
A straight-up fair deal on Nathaniel Watson at the 233rd overall pick, value and slot in agreement. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick235
Rnd7
Matthew Jones
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Matthew Jones. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
