Draft Grade — Packers
Overall
B
ValueB-

FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Packers: B. The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Packers watched Eli Stowers slide 40 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
Reaching for Zuhn III left real value on the table behind him. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick Analysis
Pick56
Rnd2
Jake Slaughter
A tidy bit of business in the Round 2 slot, where Jake Slaughter graded well above the range. The roster fit checks out.
Pick87
Rnd3
Darrell Jackson Jr.
A market-rate interior defensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Darrell Jackson Jr.. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick99
Rnd3
Eli Stowers
A tight end of that caliber at the Round 3 slot is the definition of value, full stop. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick111
Rnd4
Tacario Davis
By-the-book stuff, Tacario Davis at Round 4, Pick 11 squarely in line with his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick120
Rnd4
Keylan Rutledge
A straight-up fair deal on Keylan Rutledge at pick No. 120, value and slot in agreement. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick124
Rnd4
Treydan Stukes
A real head-scratcher, Treydan Stukes in slot 124 is miles ahead of his ranking. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick125
Rnd4
Max Iheanachor
They jumped the gun on Max Iheanachor, taking him earlier than his grade liked. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick158
Rnd5
Trey Zuhn III
Value said wait; Trey Zuhn III in No. 158 says they were not listening. It fills a real need, too.
Pick199
Rnd6
Daevin Hobbs
The board had cheaper options than Daevin Hobbs at the 199th pick, and it noticed. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick207
Rnd6
Dominic Zvada
They reached a country mile for Dominic Zvada at the 207th overall pick, and the board is aghast. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Pick236
Rnd7
Rueben Owens II
Rueben Owens II at slot 236 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick254
Rnd7
Jalil Farooq
Jalil Farooq at Round 7, Pick 38 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick257
Rnd7
Will Kacmarek
Will Kacmarek at the Round 7 slot is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
