Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB TradesB+ FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Packers: B.

There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Packers started one anyway for Zen Michalski, 36 picks ahead of schedule. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. The Scott steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick55 Rnd2 Jake Slaughter
Good price on Jake Slaughter in slot 55, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick86 Rnd3 Keionte Scott
Keionte Scott at pick 86 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick88 Rnd3 Domonique Orange
A quiet steal in pick No. 88: Domonique Orange for less than the market said. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick99 Rnd3 Keylan Rutledge
They reached into another round for Keylan Rutledge, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick120 Rnd4 Malachi Lawrence
A reach on Malachi Lawrence in the 120th overall pick; the board had better options right there. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick158 Rnd5 Davison Igbinosun
Davison Igbinosun at No. 158 is money in the bank, a cornerback taken below his worth. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick162 Rnd5 Aaron Graves
Aaron Graves at pick 162 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick199 Rnd6 Brett Norfleet
Value said wait; Brett Norfleet in the 199th pick says they were not listening. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick236 Rnd7 London Humphreys
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on London Humphreys. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick254 Rnd7 Zen Michalski
A real head-scratcher, Zen Michalski in pick No. 254 is miles ahead of his ranking. The roster fit checks out.
Pick257 Rnd7 Xavian Sorey Jr.
Xavian Sorey Jr. at the 257th overall pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
