There is reaching, and then there is Trey Moore at Round 4, Pick 34. The 49ers jumped the board by 58 and dared it to prove them wrong. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. It is not that Kilgore is a bad player; it is that the 49ers had louder needs to answer first.

That is a linebacker worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The running back hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
