Draft Grade — Packers
Overall

FutureB-
The Packers let Dunker fall into their laps, and walked away with a B. This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Gennings Dunker, the No. 52 name on the board, stolen at Round 3, Pick 21. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They will need Jackson Jr. to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.
Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick59
Rnd2
Dillon Thieneman
Dillon Thieneman at Round 2, Pick 27 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick84
Rnd3
Darrell Jackson Jr.
Darrell Jackson Jr. at the Round 3 slot is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick85
Rnd3
Gennings Dunker
A offensive lineman of that caliber at No. 85 is the definition of value, full stop. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick86
Rnd3
Will Lee III
They robbed the room for Will Lee III here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick106
Rnd4
Jacob Rodriguez
Fair-plus on Jacob Rodriguez, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick120
Rnd4
Caden Curry
Value with a capital V on Caden Curry in slot 120, a genuine coup. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick158
Rnd5
Eli Raridon
You do not let a tight end like Eli Raridon reach the 158th pick and blink. They did not. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick199
Rnd6
Trey Zuhn III
Trey Zuhn III in the 199th overall pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick236
Rnd7
Dijon Johnson
Dijon Johnson in pick 236 lands just on the right side of the ledger. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick254
Rnd7
Will Kacmarek
Will Kacmarek in pick No. 254 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick257
Rnd7
Jalil Farooq
Jalil Farooq in No. 257 is fair value, right on his grade. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
