The Eric O'Neill selection is the head-turner. The Lions reached 24 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered.

They will regret leaving linebacker for another day if the season turns on it. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
