There is conviction, and then there is this. The Texans took Barryn Sorrell a full 165 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. Put together, it is a D-.

Getting Higgins where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.
