Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Moore is the Raiders' new face under center. Grade: B-.

Start where it matters. The Raiders took Dante Moore to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

Every board in the league had Payton lower, and that gap is the story. That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Dante Moore
In the Round 1 slot they get their quarterback of the future at fair value.
Pick33 Rnd2 Isaiah World
Isaiah World at slot 33 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick65 Rnd3 Keionte Scott
They took Keionte Scott at par in Round 3, Pick 1, which is nothing to complain about. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick101 Rnd4 Harold Perkins Jr.
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Harold Perkins Jr.. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick118 Rnd4 Charles Jagusah
A premium they did not need to pay, Charles Jagusah a notch or two before his time. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick136 Rnd4 Tao Johnson
Tao Johnson at No. 136 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick175 Rnd5 Kevin Coleman Jr.
By-the-book stuff, Kevin Coleman Jr. at pick 175 squarely in line with his ranking. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick182 Rnd6 Patrick Payton
A wild overpay on Patrick Payton in pick No. 182, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick183 Rnd6 Davison Igbinosun
Davison Igbinosun at the Round 6 slot is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick217 Rnd7 Fernando Carmona
Fernando Carmona at the 217th overall pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
