rshah124 DRAFTING FOR THEBears
Draft Grade — Bears
Overall
B-
ValueB
NeedB
TradesB-
FutureB-
Quarterback settled, Williams in the fold, and a B- for the Bears. The search is over. The Bears handed the keys to Caleb Williams, and the whole operation now runs on his development. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
Landing Washington that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Caleb Williams
In pick 1 they get the arm they will build around. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick9
Rnd1
Malik Nabers
In slot 9 they get a No. 1 receiver at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick75
Rnd3
Brandon Dorlus
Brandon Dorlus in the Round 3 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick122
Rnd4
Malik Washington
They barely believed it either: Malik Washington still on the board at Round 4, Pick 22. A need, and now a little less of one.
