The Chiefs won the night they stopped Tiernan from sliding. Grade: B.

Somebody in the 117th overall pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Chiefs sat still while Caleb Tiernan, the No. 92 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
