Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Chiefs spent No. 61 on Chase Bisontis, a name most had 50 spots down the list.

Ponds at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
