The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Patriots watched Kenyon Sadiq slide 44 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
