A masterclass at the trade table lands the Broncos a B. The real work happened on the phones. The Broncos fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Getting Allen where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Spending an early pick on cornerback with edge rusher open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.
They are betting Washington proves the room right and everyone else wrong.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
