Tampa should have been long gone. The Falcons pounced, and earned a A-. The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: T.J. Tampa, the 89th pick, roughly 40 picks past where he belonged. They executed a plan and it shows in the A-.
They are betting Jackson proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The Falcons indulged a want in Tampa while a need in quarterback and tight end stayed open.
That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
Bottom line, they left the weekend a clearly better team, and they earned every bit of it.
