Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall

FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Ravens, and a B- to prove it. Boards are made to be trusted, and the Ravens shredded theirs for Trey Moore. He came off 135 spots early, and the room will hear about it. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.
On value alone, Lew makes the weekend a net positive. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick14
Rnd1
Kayden McDonald
In the 14th pick they get a load in the middle, reach and all. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick45
Rnd2
Caleb Lomu
They read the board right and Caleb Lomu was the payoff at Round 2, Pick 13. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick80
Rnd3
Trey Moore
They reached into another round for Trey Moore, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick115
Rnd4
Connor Lew
Connor Lew in pick No. 115 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick152
Rnd5
Deion Burks
Deion Burks at the Round 5 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick160
Rnd5
Reggie Virgil
Reggie Virgil at slot 160 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick172
Rnd5
Jeff Caldwell
Jeff Caldwell at pick No. 172 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick173
Rnd5
Zavion Thomas
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Zavion Thomas. It fills a real need, too.
Pick249
Rnd7
Marcus Allen
A wild overpay on Marcus Allen in the Round 7 slot, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick252
Rnd7
Damari Brown
Damari Brown at No. 252 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
