Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Falcons let Williams fall and pounced. Final grade: B.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Isaiah Williams tumbling to the Falcons in the 241st pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about. No fireworks, but a solid B.

They will need Harrell to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick8 Rnd1 Rome Odunze
Rome Odunze in the 8th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick43 Rnd2 Troy Fautanu
Troy Fautanu slipping to slot 43 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick74 Rnd3 Mike Sainristil
By-the-book stuff, Mike Sainristil at Round 3, Pick 10 squarely in line with his ranking. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick110 Rnd4 Leonard Taylor III
Leonard Taylor III at the 110th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick142 Rnd5 Drake Nugent
Drake Nugent at pick 142 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick189 Rnd6 Jaylen Harrell
A real head-scratcher, Jaylen Harrell in pick No. 189 is miles ahead of his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick201 Rnd6 Kitan Oladapo
A safety of that caliber at the Round 6 slot is the definition of value, full stop. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick241 Rnd7 Isaiah Williams
Isaiah Williams in No. 241 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
