There is reaching, and then there is Zachariah Branch at the Round 2 slot. The Falcons jumped the board by 55 and dared it to prove them wrong. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Adding Austin Booker by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
