Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall C+
ValueB- NeedB TradesD- FutureB-
A costly weekend of dealing drags the Falcons to a C+.

Somebody took the Falcons to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. A mixed bag that lands at C+.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped offensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. The Branch pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They banked enough surplus on McDonald to cover a lot of smaller sins.

The verdict is a shrug for now, with the swing picks left to write the real ending.

Pick Analysis
Pick39 Rnd2 Kayden McDonald
A quiet steal in the 39th overall pick: Kayden McDonald for less than the market said. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick74 Rnd3 Antonio Williams
A clean, defensible pick in the Round 3 slot with a little surplus value in Antonio Williams. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick94 Rnd3 Zachariah Branch
Value said wait; Zachariah Branch in pick 94 says they were not listening. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick109 Rnd4 Harold Perkins Jr.
Harold Perkins Jr. in No. 109 lands just on the right side of the ledger. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick156 Rnd5 Terrance Carter Jr.
Terrance Carter Jr. at Round 5, Pick 16 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick189 Rnd6 Josh Moten
They liked Josh Moten enough to skip the value, taking him in slot 189. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
