Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB FutureC+
Daniels is the Falcons' new face under center. Grade: B.

The search is over. The Falcons handed the keys to Jayden Daniels, and the whole operation now runs on his development.

If Capehart pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The running back spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick8 Rnd1 Jayden Daniels
Jayden Daniels at slot 8 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick43 Rnd2 Bralen Trice
Fair-plus on Bralen Trice, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It fills a real need, too.
Pick74 Rnd3 Brenden Rice
A tidy little value on Brenden Rice in pick No. 74, a step better than break-even. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick82 Rnd3 Jalen McMillan
They took Jalen McMillan at par in No. 82, which is nothing to complain about. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick142 Rnd5 Jaylin Simpson
Jaylin Simpson in the 142nd overall pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick189 Rnd6 Ethan Driskell
A clean, defensible pick in pick 189 with a little surplus value in Ethan Driskell. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick201 Rnd6 Jaylen Harrell
No drama and no debate, Jaylen Harrell went about where he belonged in the 201st pick. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick241 Rnd7 DeMonte Capehart
They reached a country mile for DeMonte Capehart at Round 7, Pick 21, and the board is aghast. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
