The Falcons left with their quarterback, and a C+ to match.

They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. J.J. McCarthy is the Falcons' quarterback, full stop. Call it a C+ and check back in two years.

The running back hole is the one line item this class does not answer. McCarthy has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The dealing tilted against them, just enough to notice.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

If J.J. McCarthy and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
